Glaucoma

Glaucoma is an eye disease in which the optic nerve is damaged from pressure in the eye. Glaucoma is dangerous because it normally does not cause any pain or vision symptoms. Vision loss is slow, silent and permanent. Glaucoma can occur at any age, but usually shows up in middle adult ages. This disease is one of the main reasons adults should have a thorough eye exam at least every two years, even if they are not having any trouble. Excellent treatment is now available in the form of drops, tablets, or laser surgery in our office if the diagnosis is made early enough. Our comprehensive approach to diagnosis and treatment assures you of the most up-to-date care in controlling Glaucoma.
